Engineering Technician
Ford Bridgend Plant has Craft/Advanced apprenticeship opportunities.
We are inviting applications from people who wish to be considered to start in SEPTEMBER 2015.
(opportunities also available at Dagenham, Dunton Technical Centre)
This is an opportunity for people to embark on a career path that will really make the most of their practical talents. It's a chance for them to continue their education whilst earning a decent wage. It's a chance to gain a variety of skills and qualifications in a modern technology-driven environment. Most of all, it's the chance to share in the future with one of the most famous automotive manufacturers in the world.
You should be in possession of, or expecting to gain, Grade B or above in GCSE Mathematics and Grade C or above in GCSE English Language, and Science (Double Award or Physics single award).
We will also consider applicants with a BTEC First in Engineering, an Advanced Vocational Certificate in Education (Engineering), or an Intermediate GNVQ in Engineering.
The 1st year of your apprenticeship, you will be based at Bridgend College. Year's 2 to 4 are spent at our modern manufacturing plant in Bridgend.
Successful completion of the apprenticeship leads to the award of: -
• An NVQ3 in the relevant skill area -- this is a nationally recognised vocational skill qualification
• BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the relevant skill area
• An Advanced Modern Apprenticeship Certificate --this is a nationally recognised apprenticeship framework
• A Ford Certificate of Apprenticeship -- this is recognition of completing one of the best apprenticeships available today
• Five Key Skills at Level 2
