-The Bug Farm Assistant will have a varied role, covering many
elements of The Bug Farm’s day-to-day working,
-It will include welcoming and attending to visitors in the ticket
office and gift shop,
-Restocking gift shop stock,
-Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in all customer facing
areas of The Bug Farm,
-General groundwork at The Bug Farm,
-Assisting in invertebrate care and upkeep,
-Assisting in workshops and events when required,
-Welsh spoken skills are an advantage. As well as speaking with
Welsh Speaking Visitors, we are also looking to expand our
bilingual signage, audio and written guides for The Bug Farm
exhibits. We would also like to be able to have a Welsh speaker
who is happy to speak to press about The Bug Farm,
-Full on the job training will be provided by the company,
-Leading to a sustainable job for the right candidate.

Desirable personal qualities
We are ideally looking for someone with great customer service
skills who is happy to interact with the public and work at our
front desk and shop. An interest in wildlife and especially
invertebrates, as well as sustainable food/farming is helpful. The right person would be able to move into further public
interaction role, helping with bug hunts, bug handling, animal
(bug) management etc.
