The role will be divided into 3 areas and the successful applicant will spend 4 months in each of the areas below:
Marketing and Public Relations:
• Learn how to write media stories for the Council’s News Blog.
Helping to improve the Council's social media presence and coming up with exciting ideas for greater interaction
Help analyze and evaluate the scope of the Council’s media presence.
Attend media briefings and other meetings with team members and help by keeping records and preparing for the meetings.
• Improved practical knowledge of Microsoft office and the use of social media in the workplace
• Help organize and attend events
• Learn how to create and update digital content on the website / intranet
• Help our customers via digital channels e.g. Social Media, Email and Webchat
• Looking at helping on Digital projects
• Development of digital platforms
• Understanding our customers through data analysis
• Brand and Reprographics:
• Learn about processes for incoming and outgoing mail
• Maintain relevant software and templates, assisting in the updating of departmental systems, data input and retrieval.
• Helping to provide a photocopying, digital printing and finishing service.
• Liaising with clients to ensure an efficient and effective way to find the best way to achieve their requirements.
• Learning about the correct application, value and use of corporate branding
• Assisting Graphic Designer with amendments to designs and documents

The ability to speak, read and write in Welsh is essential for this post and you will have a GCSE A * - C qualification in Welsh First Language.

Candidates that are shortlisted will be asked to complete a written test followed by a face-to-face interview.
Part of the interview will be in Welsh unless the candidate wishes the whole interview to be conducted through the medium of Welsh.
