The setting and assembly of roof trusses to customer requirements to achieve productivity and quality targets.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To liaise with supervisor regarding production sheets
- To ensure production tables are set up accurately
- Ensure timber components are within the highest quality standards set out by the company.
- To set the appropriate plates and lay out on tables for production.
- To assemble timber on table, position and fix plates and press to appropriate quality standards.
- To assist with the safe handling of trusses from the production tables.
- To assist with the preparation and operating of the saw
- To assist with the preparation and manufacture of spandrel panels
- To help and assist where required to pick raw materials, metalwork and other components in preparation for loading of lorries.
- To ensure that as a representative of the Company, your dress, manner and behavior is to the professional standards set by the Company.
- To ensure that every effort is made to ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
- To participate in training and be available for team meetings.
- To ensure that every effort is made to maintain good house-keeping standards and ensure work is carried out with the highest regard to health and safety.
- To work overtime and carry out other duties from time to time (including stocktaking) at the request of the Company. This includes a flexible approach to start and finish times outside the normal working day.
- To carry out other duties within the Branch to cover for holiday/absenteeism.
