Seiont Nurseries is a well known and respected wholesale horticultural nursery based in Snowdonia, North Wales, which grows high quality shrub and perennials in plugs and 9cm liners to Grower retailer and plant finishers nationwide and also into Europe. This trainee position is within the grower department which is responsible for the production of various crops from Tissue Culture and cuttings as well as fitting into the Potting and maintenance team. This is a physical role where the successful applicant will need to be fit and healthy to carry out the duties. Main responsibilities include:
• Be part of the potting team using Javo potting machinery
• Be part of the propagation team and carry out duties such as sticking cuttings
• Be part of the Dispatch team by picking customer orders
• Loading CC Trolleys for plants ready for delivery
• Crop trimming using Easitrim machinery
• Monitor and apply watering
• Weeding/weed prevention
• Carry out the general responsibilities and duties of a permanent member of staff and undertake any other nursery work when necessary.
